Tony experiences different forms of water when he plays in the snow, writes his name in the fog on the window, makes hot soup, and takes a bath. The story gives information about the water cycle.
This is cleverly presented, paralleling the weather outside with the weather inside of the house on a much smaller schedule. It's not too heavy on the science of the situation, only giving enough information to provide a young reader with an understanding of how water comes in many different forms. I liked its simplicity.
In this book, the water cycle is demonstrated through the eyes of a boy who watches the weather outside. (Although it is told in 3rd person). Throughout the day, Tony sees how water has a way of changing. This would be a nice introduction to the water cycle for the younger grades.
