I appreciated that this book provided a sampling of earlier women of the faith. Sometimes the sampling seemed a little narrow, and I felt the material could have been enhanced with a broader selection of female Christian writers over the years.
This compilation of various Christian women might also have been enhanced with some input and selections by the author herself. The selections stand alone as encouraging pieces, but the author might have found a way to thread an overarching theme throughout the devotional to create something more powerful and memorable.
