Always a good read ! Better yet available at the library. Could read her books again and again. These are kind of long so definitely not a day or so. They have depth which makes her characters believable .

I just read Comfort and Joy, don't know why the trilogy is the only thing that shows up. Delightful story that makes us all believe in magic.

I know it’s hard to swallow, but I’m sometimes a sucker when it comes to unbelievable plot lines in a story. This was one of them, but I went along regardless. When Joy escapes reality to jump on a plane to who knows where, the plane crashes. She miraculously survives and walks away till she comes across a fishing lodge and meets a boy and his dad. But wait...it was all a dream (well, the crash was real) when she wakes up from a coma in the hospital. Difficult to separate reality from fantasy but it ties up nicely in the end.

Magic Hour & Firefly Lane - great. Comfort and Joy not so much - good detail....too much of a stretch for the ending.

Interesting and unexpected story. The ending was a little too unrealistic for my taste. It was a good pleasure read.

"Comfort and Joy" is a unique type or romance and while it doesn't quite work in the end, Kristen Hannah deserves a lot of credit for attempting it. A good read for the beach and afternoon.
