Quite a compelling biography of a royal who re-invented himself as a capable but principled politician, an efficient manager and a possible aspirant for the top post... till his untimely death which left Indian politics much poorer. This biography does him quite a bit of justice but ends a little too abruptly with his death - given the period it was written, could have included a bit about his legacy and the outcome of the legal wrangles...
