Stranger from Arizona

Rate this book
Luke Ramage beat his way up to manhood by shilling for a two-bit tinhorn. He was a self-made gambler, and be only played the long shots.

He signed on as foreman of the second largest outfit in Thief River Basin when he set out to take over the valley. The odds were against it, but he made sure to stack the cards in his own favor.

He dealt himself a winning hand by hiring a gunhand who specialized in trouble. And he paid the killer to start a range war. It was too late when Rampage realized he'd been using a cold deck --- too late when he discovered the gunthand was hiding an ace up his sleeve.

It’s a very good book to read and just fall into a cowboy action packed story to enjoy. I liked how the story was written and I definitely did not see it coming that Tracy was the one to kill Tripp and only going to his family to make emanes because he liked his sister. I Especially love how “Beth” the woman in the story was portrayed: strong, kind, responsible but sensitive and how she dealt with everting falling around her. The highlight for me with this book was forgiveness and moving on from the past looking forward to making a better future.

Very well put together and presented story, especially for a western. A little out of the norm as it seemed to have a real message as well as be entertaining. I love LL, but this one is something special, if you can find it, get it. I'm keeping mine to re-read someday.
The only shortcoming, if there is one is that I felt some of the more obscure words weren't necessary and seemed a little to contrived. I got over them without any difficulty. Read it!

Good western by Fox as man leaves an Arizona range war and goes to Montana where he quickly becomes embroiled in another one. He does his best to avoid this one, but eventually gets caught up in it. Recommended to fans of westerns.
