David Spence gives us a short read of Michelangelo's work, including the painting of the Sistine Chapel ceiling and his statue of David. The version I have is hard-bound with glossy pages making the photos of the artwork clearer and more vibrant. This book is great for someone who wants to see more of Michelangelo's work with less verbiage. Details of his work are included, as well as descriptive of technique and materials. Truly, Michelangelo is a versatile and gifted artist.

Should have read this synopsis before I went to Florence but I do see I learned and saw the highlights.
