What a book! I defy anyone to start this book and outline where the characters might go and how it ends. It's ever reason one reads a book. Superior story telling, character development and overall writing. I'm not a fan of westerns, so I'm not writing through that prism. I've been trying a few western writers this year and thought I'd try out Max Brand. What I discovered is one of the few best books I've read in the past few years.
