A wonderful short read encouraging parents to model talking with God as a friend. Just as a parent needs constant communication with their child, we should have constant communication with God. The routine of prayer (before and after meals, morning before sleep, special occasions is important.

Create a prayer space in you home and set a routine to visit and pray there.

Types of prayer include:
1. Blessing and adoration
2. Petition - forgiveness of sins; grant fulfillment of need
3. Intercession - prayer for someone else; as Jesus said the Lord's prayer for us.
4. Thanksgiving
5. Praise
