The story of Sinbad the Sailor was very hard to read for a land bound seafarer. I felt his wanderlust very acutely. The stories also remind me of Homer's Odyssey which I had just read. But the story of the Snow Queen really touched me, about how Edelweiss flower came to grow on the edge of the abyss and precipice of the Alps. Short stories, but very enchanting

Like always, as part of Golden Fairy Tales Collection, the illustrations are beautiful .
This book consist of five stories:
1. The Seven Voyages of Sinbad the Sailor. 5* The adventures are exciting to read, and quite long, appx 27 pages. I snort on this quote; 'If i get out of here alive', i cried,'I swear to Allah that i'll never again leave Baghdad.' Well duh. Dude, you beat death seven times lol. It's about time! Unless you are a cat.
2. Prince Omar and Princess Sheherazade 3.5* How come Sheherazade is a Chinese princess and not Persian? Haha, beautiful illustrations, but i'm so confuse with this.
3. The Flying Trunk, a H.C Andersen story 1* Really short, disappointing read. It has potential to be a fun adventure story.
4. The Little Pear Girl 4* I like it, remind me of similar tale with difficult task and items to help her.
