Anissa Rafeh was born to Lebanese parents in Louisville, Kentucky. After living in Dubai from age 5 to 16, she moved back to the US with her family. She graduated from the University of Richmond in Virginia and then moved to Lebanon to pursue a Master's degree in political science from the American University of Beirut. After graduation, she worked in journalism, enjoying a successful career as both a writer and an editor. Over the years, she has had numerous articles published on a variety of topics, from the serious to the lighthearted, covering the world of politics, business and show business. From 2004 to 2006, she worked as the editor of What's Up?, a Lebanese entertainment magazine, and wrote a monthly column, The Simple Things, a humorous look at her experiences living in Lebanon. Anissa currently lives in Richmond, VA, where she continues to write on her blog anissarafeh.blogspot.com. MissGuided is her first book, in which she has combined her two loves: writing and Lebanon.

if it wasn't a bit funny and a lil sarcastic (or at least that's how decided to perceive it(, it would have been a really bad book, the book described the worst kind of people in our society and sadly the majority: shallow, and too self-absorbed.
