I really enjoyed The Book of Rules — great title by the way. It's a classic mystery set in Wales just after WWII. The rustic setting along a railroad line felt authentic. I like the main character, a complex young woman struggling against expectations and determined to figure out why the village vicar was murdered. Good read.

A great introduction to this new railroad mystery series in Wales, The Book of Rules presents a young female protagonist from a family with long ties to railroads as well as an unsolved mystery in her own life about the suspicious deaths of her parents and brother in an auto accident.
This story absorbed me throughout and left me looking forward to the next in the series.
