"The moon was full the night I died."

Some heartbreaking, some laugh out loud funny. We lost a wonderful writer in Sarah Dreher.

I was reading through all of my reviews from this year and decided to give it a delayed rating of 5 stars, which I have been meaning to do for a while.

*

It would feel wrong to give this collection an overall rating because all of the plays were so different from each other that I can't really think of them as a whole. However, if I had to rate it, I would probably give it 5 stars. Individual ratings:

Alumnae News - 4.75
Base Camp - 4
Backward, Turn Backward - 4
This Brooding Sky - 4
Hollandia '45 - 5

Also worth noting are Dreher's introductions to each play, which I felt added value to the collection and will be especially enjoyable for those who are already fans of her work.
