Couple of decades old now, but still works a treat as an entry guide into the world of antiques that pre date the edition I read. As someone who is specialising in different, quirky pieces of furniture this is essential reading to work out which designers, manufacturers and periods are desirable and affordable as well as pleasing to my eye.
