Melrose and Croc are two irresistible new characters from the creator of the popular Blue Kangaroo series, Emma Chichester Clark.

Our endearing duo are thrilled to be taking an exciting trip to town. Little Green Croc just can’t wait to rush off into the bright lights and bustle of the city, but the slightly more worldly-wise Melrose advises caution – the crowds are big and Croc is a very small crocodile, and if they are not careful, he might end up…LOST! Thankfully the friends are reunited for a happy ending.

This entertaining urban adventure for the loveable pair is sure to amuse children and parents alike, and shows the dazzling potential of the Melrose and Croc series.

Let's stick together, or else we'll get lost! ~ Melrose

Melrose and Croc go to town for a shopping trip. There are many people doing the same thing. Melrose is content to take it slowly while Little Croc is easily distracted by all the sights and sounds. Despite all the reminders to stick together, Little Croc gets lost.

Kids will be reminded of the many times the responsible people in their lives remind them not to run off. They will also have fun "helping" Melrose spot Little Croc in the crowded illustrations.

My oldest child was one who seemed like he was on a mission to get away from me as soon as he could walk -- never concerned about what might happen if he were to get separated. Fortunately Little Croc soon realizes they have been separated and the two are soon reunited.

Another satisfying and cleverly illustrated story about our friends Melrose and Croc.🐕🐊

3* art
3* story/concept

The story is a little ho-hum, but it gets that point across - stay close to your friend or parent - don't run off! You might get lost! And it says all this without scaring kids. Much appreciated! I used that line "Let's stick together so we don't get lost!" on Squirt today, and it might have helped too, if he hadn't already been out of earshot. :/

Not that interesting, although popular with Samuel for some reason.

I do like that the moral is something very useful (not getting separated when shopping).
