This solidly-documented reference guide demolishes the media myths surrounding homosexuality and points the way to freedom for those caught in the homosexual lifestyle.
John F. Ankerberg (born Dec 1945) is the host of a nationally syndicated evangelical Christian television talk show. The show is broadcast from Chattanooga, Tennessee via satellite and highlights contemporary Christian viewpoints and debates among well known Christian scholars.
Ankerberg holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from Luther Rice Seminary and is an ordained Baptist minister. He is the author or co-author of numerous books including Darwin's Leap of Faith: Exposing the False Religion of Evolution (Harvest House, 1998), and The Secret Teachings of the Masonic Lodge: A Christian Perspective (Moody, 1990).
This is an politically incorrect book. That does not mean that it is incorrect, however.
The main points are:
1) It shows that there is no scientific evidence that homosexuals are "born that way". Not the brain studies, not the twin studies, not the genetic studies. Nothing. The "born that way" stance is politically based not scientific.
2) Even so homosexuality is not a choice; it is a learned behavior.
3) And thus it can be unlearned. Science comes to bear on this; homosexuals can and do change their sexual orientation. In fact 84% of homosexuals do this at least once.
4) The Bible is clear that homosexual behavior is immoral.
