Sealed in Lies
Jack Weaver, a sexy under cover operative for the CIA, can’t seem to escape a life of lies. Working undercover in the largest drug cartel in Columbia, Jack lives a life of guns, drugs and beautiful women. It all comes to an end when Jack uncovers a plot to assassinate the President-Elect on Inauguration Day. Suddenly things become infinitely worse when Jack is forced to kill his old SEAL Commander who is now a Deputy Director of the CIA. Jack is now on the run not only for his life but he’s the only one who knows about the assassination attempt, other than a mysterious man who calls himself the Emperor and seems to be calling all the shots.
Jack is being haunted by terrifying dreams from his past that seem to be connected to this entire conspiracy involving his old SEAL team. Desperate for answers Jack breaks into the home of Vice-President elect Warren Walters, another SEAL teammate, where he is discovered by Warren’s abused wife Caroline. He forces Caroline to go with him with the intention of letting her go once he uses her as leverage to get the information he needs. Even as Caroline thinks of ways to escape her captor, she finds herself unexpectedly attracted to him. She begins to wonder if a night spent in his arms will erase years of abuse. When she is offered the opportunity to be set free Caroline refuses to leave, seeing this as an opportunity to escape her own life of lies. This starts a chain reaction of passionate feelings neither of them is prepared for. Desire sizzles as Jack and Caroline come closer and closer to the answers and each other. The key question is will they be able to save the President-elect’s life as well as their own, or will a blast from Jack’s past destroy them all?

This is a very good suspense book from a new author, it is one where you can get into the complicated nature of Jack Weaver when he kidnaps the abused wife of one of his SEAL teammates after he breaks into his house discovering that he may have information about a plot to assinate the President elect. He uncovers this plot while working undercover for the CIA for one of the leaders of a Columbian drug cartel. The romance that blossoms betweek Jack and Caroline the wife of the vice president elect who is one of Jack's old teammates.

This book kept me turning the pages, all the way from beginning to end. Like all good thrillers, it's action packed, with several unexpected, surprising twists. Kelly Abell is great at building suspense and tension, keeping you guessing all the way to the end.
SEALED IN LIES is the story of ex Navy SEAL Jack Weaver, now CIA undercover in Columbia. He stumbles on a plot to assassinate the president elect on Inauguration Day and knows he has to stop it. When the CIA deputy director blows his cover, Jack no longer knows who he can trust. Introduce his hostage, Caroline Walters, abused wife of the vice president elect, who also happens to be one of Jack's Navy SEAL buddies, and Jack starts to questions all his allegiances and the truths he once believed in.
Truth and lies, trust, and revenge. SEALED IN LIES is built around familiar themes, but has a fresh telling. Both Jack and Caroline lives are propped up with lies and riddled with deceit. I just won this book on Good reads and I am looking forward to reading it!
Im only about a quarter of the way thru this book and I love it so far! I love Jack he is a great character so far! I can't wait to read more about him!
I just finished this book and it was great! You couldn't help but fall in love with Jack and Caroline! They had both thru so much that you wanted them to have a happy ending! There were time in the book that I really didn't think they would get it.

4.5 stars. The one thing that took it down a half point was the quick finish. The hero was unconscious for 10 days before the action in the epilogue. I would have liked more info about the resolution of the assassination plot. I did like the hero and I'm looking forward to the next book. I was glad the heroine finally stood up for herself after years of abuse at the end of the book

Great book with everything I want. Love the action, the drama and the HEA. However, I'd like to know more about the Emperor and what happened with the plan.

Sealed in Lies is action packed, full of suspense with a sexy ex-SEAL military hero and now a CIA agent. The problems started in Iraq and a mission that went bad and the wrong woman was captured and killed. That was ten years before and now the entire SEAL team is involved in a cover up, except for Jack Weaver because he tried to stop the killing of the wrong woman. Columbian drug lords, evil ex-military, a brother seeking revenge for his sister's death and gain favor as an extreme Islamic and a plot to kill the newly elected President to be are just a part of the excitement for Jack and Caroline, the abused wife of his old buddy from the team and now future Vice-President elect of the United States.
It is full of action, stress and running while working to decode the details of the plot that will clear Jack from killing the head of the drug cartel and a Director of the CIA. Romance also enters the story with a kidnapping and rescue of the soon to be Vice-President's wife. This review may seem like too much for one book but a ghost also is part of the story and it is one I couldn't put down from beginning to end.

WOW! Kelly abell is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors! I loved her shenanigans series, and now I have fallen for, " Sealed in Lies" I adore Jack and Caroline. This was action packed from start to finish. I love how these characters are strong, it could be so easy for them to give up, but they choose to fight. I love the chemistry between Jack and Caroline. Also, what's not to love about a HOT Navy Seal, Sigh.... I can't wait to read more from this author. Thank you for taking me on this wonderful adventure!

Jack and Caroline. He's deep undercover. *Did NOT like him talking about all the free sex he got. Caroline is married to the next vice-president of the US. He's abusive. The way the author wrote this guy made my skin crawl (that's a good thing. I didn't feel like he was a caricature). Jack and Caroline go on the run together, trying to stay ahead of everyone that is trying to kill them. It was tense, exciting, but I don't think I was so invested that I need to read the next installment, if there is one.

I loved this book!
I loved it from the second it opened with a nude man standing out on the balcony. Jack Weaver is the type of hero women all dream about running into in their lives, and his relationship with Caroline is perfect. I'm not about to divulge any spoilers in a review, but this is an action-packed book with characters you relate to. And the ending, quite simply made me say, "cool!".
I definitely recommend Sealed in Lies and I'm on my way to Haunted Destiny now!

A fast moving suspense and adventure novel with a bit of romance thrown in. I loved that we saw both the soft side of the characters as well as their hard personalities that carried them through the drama. The writing flowed smoothly and was easy to keep my attention focused on the story. I will look for more from this author in the future.
