This is one of those cheeseball books I picked up to support a small, local, independent business. And because it has the delicious old-book smell.

It was fine, but not really rateable, being a product of its time.

19 year Miranda has larger worries such as world falling apart than worrying about paying rent on time or listening to her father. She things that her father is always trying to prove her wrong and does not know what is going on with her. Then, .... her father gives her message on 4 reel tapes from her mom -the mom who had passed away when Miranda was a wee baby & the one whom Miranda loved dearly.

Miranda wants to hear the message in peace. What is the message from Mom to her daughter?

It is a easy read. I will recommend to read with your daughters and discuss it.
