I can't believe this book is 27 years old! It was the first of its kind and changed the way that cricketing books were written (in my view) with a lot more behind the scenes information. It is also historic as it signalled the end of the the once might West Indies cricketing teams. I have read this book in excess of 15 times and always enjoy it. The photographs taken by Waugh are really good and though he went on to write several more "captain diaries" none were any better then this one.
