This book simply stated facts. It's the way I remember learning history in school. It is interesting to learn why people choose to settle in certain places. It talks about the rift between Mormons and Gentiles. Some of the voting laws that specifically targeted Mormons. The end of the book does have some interesting historical events. In the summer of 1896 the Butch Cassidy gang robbed the bank in Montpelier.
