The major take away for me is to keep my ideas in check. The very work we do to transform social challenges can actually be the repackaging of the problems we're attempting to counter. Robert Fisk, incredible journalist and author of Great War for Civilization, once said that all journalists should carry a history book (the most accurate one that can be constructed, of course) in their back pocket-- the same seems true of for those engaged in social science...
