This book was recommended to me by my Pastor. And then, he lent it to me, so I thought I had better read it. :-)

And excellent book of what drives us to totally surrender to God.

Using stories from both the Bible (re: David, Naaman, Jeremiah etc) and personal stories of members/friends from the church he pastors, Pastor Michael Catt (Pastor of the Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, GA and executive producer of "Facing the Giants" and "Fireproof")shows how desperation and desperate times not only bring us closer to God, but can reveal His true desires for our lives.
Unblinkingly refreshing and honest, this book really made me think and ponder. I will have to buy my own copy as I wanted to make notes and highlight ALL through this book (which I think Pastor Mike would frown upon!).
Really great read no matter where you are in your Christian walk.

Great book on getting desperate for God. Sometimes God allows us to reach a point in our lives that there is nothing else but Him and Him alone. This would be a great read especially if you are going through trials and tests in your walk with the Lord.
Very easy to understand and it's written from a pastor's heart, very encouraging.

Insight mixed with powerful quotes

I copied as many beautiful quotes as I could in my journal. The message is clear, however worded in divided and random stories. I'd still recommend this reading to anyone who is looking for answers when desperate and emotionally broken. God has moved mightily in me through this book and in the scriptures held within it.

Totally awesome

I chose this rating because in my time of desperation the words of this books, and examples, gave me strength and courage to hold myself up,read on, and press forward. I thank God for putting the thoughts in the hearts ,to therefore go to print,so we the people could be ministered to.
