Began this book at the start of a long planned summer vacation. One chapter a day. This book is Biblically based with lots of scripture. It contains reminders of Biblical truths I already knew. Sometimes these truths are difficult to swallow and digest especially in the center of a particular hardship. Mine was a broken ankle & cellulitis resulting in a summer that looked very different than planned. Yet as my hubby drove me to a hospital an hour away I was reminded of the chapter I had just read. God is Sovereign & in control of all. He is trustworthy, gracious, merciful. Our drive back to the campground was kindly interrupted by God with the most amazing display of a full moon shimmering on the bodies of waters we passed by. We were in awe of His majesty! Temporarily forgetting our disappointment & pain. God allows suffering for many reasons and humbling ourselves in submission requires His grace & our choice to do so. Sometimes to grow us, correct us but mostly so that His glory can be displayed through us humans.
