A collection of Boy Scout oriented campfire stories for telling around a campfire. Where else? There are 24 stories -- about 10 that are geared to younger children and 14 that are for older children.
This book has been a best selling Boy Scout book for almost 25 years.
The most loathsomely non-terrifying book of campfire stories I have ever read. None of the stories are terrifying, and even the sensical ghost stories appeal to humor or sweetness or nobility. This is a plodding and jejune work--there is nothing in it that has not already been better said somewhere else--and is a pathetic reminder of how watered-down Boy Scouts is becoming. Ugh.
An excellent resource for Scouts, Scouters, and anyone who is about to sit around a campfire. Short, easy-to-grasp stories fill the pages and several are of sufficient depth to entertain kids and adults alike.
