Moon Book: A Pictorial Journal of a Year of Painting the Full Moon
Moon Book carries the subtitle "A Pictorial Journal of a Year of Painting the Full Moon." The author and artist, Emily Eve Weinstein, has followed the full moon to rooftops, mountains and roadsides, before an angry ox's horns and inside a tippy rowboat. The result is the series of full moon paintings published in the book. Over 140 paintings were created over the course of a year, and 71 color plates (with anecdotes) are featured in the book.

This charming little book, just 82 pages, is so rich. The artist describes the painting, the setting, the time of day, perhaps something that influenced her is a few sentences on the page with the painting. If you follow the moon, are curious about full moon, meditate on the phases of the moon, or are simply a lover of La Luna...this is the book for you. It was a Christmas gift and I just love it. And, more than just enjoying it, the little book is something I can share with friends.
