When young and sexually vivacious Sheena is dumped by her snobbish older boyfriend, she decides to get her revenge. Using her sexual prowess, she sets out to seduce his three brothers. Her lewd language and loose behavior prove irresistible to the men, and before long she has bedded them all. But her goal of marrying into the wealthy family remains as distant as ever. In desperation, Sheena sets her sights on the father; but the Boss, as he is known by his sons, is determined to regain his family's honor and at the same time teach the wanton young woman a lesson in respect.
This book is not like most erotica novels, and it is certainly not a romance novel. Halfway through the book it hit me: it reads like a really long penthouse letter by a man. If that's sexist, sorry, but men and women write differently about sex and romance....and I tend to like women's writing.
The sex scenes are distracting for a number of reasons. First, there is really no emotion. There is a sex scene going on and we are reading about the heroine's thoughts that aren't actually about that sex scene. So since the main character is not in the moment, how can we be in the moment? That detracts from any pleasure from the sex scene...because I just don't care about it. Secondly, there is a mixture of crude terms and anatomical terms in the scenes....I'm fine with either, but the mixture of both is very off-putting.
This woman will do anything, anytime, and she is basically a hooker. Again, I have no problem with this, more hookers = more sex so I'm on board. However, (those of you who read my reviews) know I need to like and care about the characters to enjoy the book and enjoy the sex scenes. I neither care about this woman nor like her....so I'm left just feeling like a bunch of sex scenes are thrown together as often as possible and nothing can pull it together into a likable story for me.
