I'm a voracious reader of fiction, and also like the occasional biography or historical fiction novel. Some of my favorite authors include James Patterson, David Baldacci, Lee Child, Harlan Coben, Robert Crais, Nelson DeMille, Robert Parker...and many, many more.
As an author, I like to write in the same genres that I read...mystery, suspense, and thrillers. Readers tell me my stories are fast-paced and full of interesting characters, story lines, and unexpected plot twists.
I live in the Washington, DC suburbs with my lovely wife and cat, and in my spare time I enjoy photography and competition ballroom dancing.
J.D.Cannon is a master of pacing. In his debut novel, Just by Chance, we are treated to his masterful skills, as the story is woven between Miami and New York. As the suspense builds, as the mob bosses step up on the hunt, as the detectives try to piece together the puzzle, I found myself compelled to turn the pages, until I had come to the end of the story. The characters are extremely believable, the dialogue crisp and witty, the action fast and engaging. Hats off to the author for creating scenes so vivid - I could almost feel the Florida sun on my face and I longed for a view of the ocean. I loved the detective, Anthony Spinetti - the complexity of his character, his charisma makes me want to see more of him. I hope the author brings him back in his next novel.
