Rate this book
The Eagle’s Talon, by Jeff Totten, follows Ian McCallister, ex-CIA operative and Franzieska Hetzler, daughter of two parents who were secret caretakers of a map that cost them their lives. Sixty years after the end of World War II there are still the faithful, persistently seeking new ways to revitalize the old cause. Ian and Franzieska find themselves pitted against one such fanatic, the deadly Wolfgang, who, through his ill-gotten map, is bent on retrieving a mystical treasure hidden deep in a former Nazi airbase. The race is on to see who will find the mysterious object first, or die trying. Written with break-neck pacing and filled with non-stop action, The Eagle’s Talon grabs you by the collar and doesn’t let go. Author Totten has left no stone unturned in plotting a historical thriller that keeps you guessing, while entertaining every step of the way. Talon is a thriller qualified to compete with the best in the genre, one sure to please any thriller/suspense fan.

I am not sure why someone would give this 2 stars and not leave a comment. This is an excellent book. The author weaves a captivating story full of intrigue. It would appeal to any history buff especially those who are interested in World War II. I can see this book being made into a movie and anxiously await the next book in what I hope is a series.
