The story was good, if only you were not constantly reminded that they were brought up as siblings, and what they wanted to happen was wrong. It was mentioned on almost every page, and it was a bit too much. I believe that the same outcome would have happened if they were not brought up as siblings. I've actually seen this situation happen with people close to me, although the ending was not happy. It does happen in real life though as much as that hurts to think about. I've read Flowers In The Attic a few years after it came out and that one had a better story line than this and they ARE brother and sister. (Read that entire series to get the full story!)
This one is about a guy and a gal who were raised as brother and sister and as adults have a thing for each other...just icky to me. There's really not much of a plot, just both of them thinking about the other.
There was this ick factor, they grew up together, since the very first day, she called his mother "mum", they were not related by blood, true, but they grew up together as sister and brother... I couldn't stand it.
