Objectively, this is just an ok book.
Subjectively, I've been reading this series to my 13 year olds since they were 7 years old whenever we travel each year. And we read this book while driving from Tuscon, Arizona to Tombstone and then visited Boothill Cemetery, which was the main setting in the book, the same day, too.
So, it made this book pretty special for us!

My 3rd grader was assigned to read this for a book report. Then we read it together, him for a 2nd time, to delve into it a bit more. I was also curious to learn more about story based on what he said about it. We both wished it was scarier but overall it was a good mystery. We might look into others in series since there seems to be quite a selection by this author.
