Definitely helpful

I experienced validation reading this book. I made several notes and highlights. I think anyone in an intimate relationship that involves abuse can benefit from reading the many powerful insights in this book. Everything may not apply but I'm a fan of the saying, "take the meat, leave the bones".

As for critical feedback, I did find the book quite redundant toward the latter end. I also felt bothered by some language use such as "addict" as I try to avoid dehumanizing terms. So, this is a trigger warning for others affected by use disorders, recovery, etc.

Amazing book. Easy read. Very helpful in identifying where I am coming from and my road to recovery. Also provided really helpful information on moving forward and avoiding similar situations in the future.
