Consciously Creating Circumstances

Rate this book
Consciously Creating Circumstances is a self-help book written by George Winslow Plummer. This book explores the idea that individuals can intentionally create their own circumstances by changing their thoughts and beliefs. Plummer argues that our thoughts and beliefs shape our reality, and that by becoming aware of our inner dialogue, we can begin to shift our mindset and manifest the life we desire. The book is divided into three parts. Part one introduces the concept of conscious creation and provides an overview of the principles behind it. Part two delves deeper into the process of changing our thoughts and beliefs, offering practical exercises and techniques to help readers shift their mindset. Part three explores the role of emotions in conscious creation, and how to use them to our advantage.Throughout the book, Plummer emphasizes the importance of taking responsibility for our own lives and actively working towards our goals. He encourages readers to let go of limiting beliefs and negative self-talk, and to focus instead on cultivating a positive, abundant mindset. Overall, Consciously Creating Circumstances is a practical and insightful guide for anyone looking to take control of their life and create the circumstances they desire. It offers a step-by-step approach to conscious creation, with plenty of real-life examples and exercises to help readers apply the principles to their own lives. This innocuous looking little book by George Winslow Plummer is full of metaphysical dynamite capable of effects baleful or beneficent according to what I may call the innate altruism and enlightenment of the person who essays to employ the technique herein set forth. Therefore while highly recommending this book to those whose life and character have made them ready to receive its teachings, I am constrained to remind every reader that he who would wield Excalibur should have not only the strong arm, but the unselfish and compassionate heart of King Arthur. Within this book lies the wisdom of living a happier life. Source of power; Dual action; All is one; The great link; Forming the picture; Impressing your desire; Law of attraction; Bread upon the waters; Entering the Kingdom; Your basic attitude; Health and wealth; Employment; How to concentrate; Fear and faith; The spirit of your thought. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.

Though Plummer inspires taking ownership for our happiness in a way that echoes Buddhist ideology, he struggles with the concept of “proof” and fails to present compelling evidence for his assertions. He strains his credibility by relying on faith and logical fallacy to make his ideas hold. Riddled with typographical errors, it was a struggle end to end.

I read this book back when I was in my 20's. It made a huge impact on what I am today. I think it is a good read for anyone that needs a little help thru life's difficulties. I sometimes refer back to some of the writings. It is a small book, just over 100 pages.

I read this book thirty-five years ago. I recommend it over and over. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea but it helped me understand the concept of a higher power.
