Sorry but no
I read the first book and, while I liked the characters, I didn't like the plot. Since it was the first in a series, I was hoping that the second book would improve. It didn't.
The plot was predicable, which would be okay if there was some suspense or urgency. There isn't. The preachy part is not only - in my opinion - unnecessary, but wrong headed. A true woman of God would never side against the downtrodden. I probably would overlook political differences if the book was better written.

Made my heart pound
I couldn't put it down. What a great sequel. Donna has a wonderful way of writing the love scenes between the two main characters so that you can almost feel it. I really hope there is more to Leah and Mika's story.
