La’Gera is a power house. A gentle giant. I identify with her words and the spirit behind them. This book and her thoughts are as encouraging as they are timeless and true.

🫶🏽🥹 La’Gera ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 (to infinity)
this poetry collection spoke to me in ways I didn’t even know I needed. sitting down to read it , I didn’t even expect to finish in one sitting yet I did. It was so cohesive and flowed so smoothly , I sometimes forgot I was reading . It felt like a conversation and the author was speaking directly to me. I was truly enamored with the wordplay and metaphors of nature reflecting into love. The forms of nature personified in ways that are necessary. Made me sit and think about all the love we can be blessed with by truly just walking out our doors, opening a window, experiencing the Sun/moon, feeling the grass, wind blowing on my face, flowers swaying, etc.

It gave me a world of emotions from joy, love, sadness, and peace. it settled my spirit in the way you just need to hear someone say “i understand” that’s what I got . Understood .

Understanding the ways to navigate a life of love .

Understanding what it means to be a Black woman.

Understanding what it means to love people, even before you love yourself . When you feel like you have nothing else.

Understanding how to love you . Love your voice and the story you have to share to bridge the gap.

Understanding how it feels to not know your identity(s) and also know you have time to find them again and again.

It gave me perspective on how to continue being present with ourselves , nature, community around us whether friends , family , etc.

Love , always .
