Chasing Fae #3
Chasing Fate
“We are on our own now … From here on out, we win or lose on our own merit. We either save the realm, or we condemn it to burn.” With the war in the Upper Realm in full swing, Grace has her hands full fighting for a society that has only just begun to accept her as its own. The House of Darkness and High Lord Carron only grow stronger, and with demonic magic involved, there’s no telling what havoc the enemy plans to wreak across the Three Realms. She has no time to think about Aiden’s return to the House of the Evening and her conflicting feelings for him. And there’s no time to confront Faolan about the kiss they shared and what might be brewing between them. There are battles to fight, lands to liberate, and, most importantly, an all-too-pressing prophecy to decipher. Caught in a vicious cycle of victory and defeat, Grace has to confront her heritage once and for all and fulfill the prophecy with her friends by any means necessary, whether or not it is the fate that she desires for herself.

Wow how I love the book covers in the Chasing Fae trilogy!
**SPOILER ALERT**
The final book picks right up on the cliffhanger that Chasing War left us on...right in the middle of war. Every time they win a battle, the House of Darkness changes direction. The House of War finally joins the fight and send aid to them, along with the last prophecy member.
When the enemy starts bringing in more and more demons to fight alongside them, they work harder to re-take the fallen Houses. Just when they think they are making progress the House of Darkness turns their war efforts to overtaking the middle realm. Grace's homeland is burning, and she cannot get the fae to care, not until it starts affecting them.
Not only does Grace have to head the War Council and the prophecy team she is also fighting her feelings between Aiden and Faolan. Aidan returns with soldiers to aid the war efforts and thinks he and Grace can just pick up where they left off. However, Faolan had made his intentions sort of known to Grace the night before and it's his kiss that keeps her mind occupied, not Aidan's. The tension between the three is tense at times, however when two fae men want nothing but to see you happy they will work together when needed for their common goal and it doesn't mean they need to like each other in doing so.
"If we hadn't needed him the prophecy... I would have laid him out in the courtyard for everyone to see, for kissing you like that."
In order to save the middle and upper realms Grace and her team must travel to those who know the demons best, the half fae half mortals who live in the demon realm. She will bring together the fae, the humans, and the half fae to beat their common enemy. Of the eight prophecy members one will lose their sight and one will lose their life, but they will win and change the realms forever. As for Grace...she and Faolan will get the ending that fits them both.
I would recommend this series for anyone who enjoys a good fantasy journey. The realms, the characters, the storyline are all fantastic and kept me reading non-stop!

The third and final(?) book in Grace's journey is here! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Now that it's over, I have a bit to say.
Faolan, Aiden, and Grace.
I wished Aiden remained on the front lines of the war so Faolan and Grace could have a moment to bond. As it was, I never felt the connection between Grace and Faolan, and I thought Aiden's involvement took away how important he (Aiden) was to the war.
Also, I wished I got to see more of the antagonist and the threat he posed. Because of his absence, and the absence of the power he possessed, it never felt like Grace was ever in any danger leading up to the final battle.
(With that being said, Aiden deserved his own chapter after Grace passed out during the final battle...😭 I wanted to see him lead the army to glory!!!)
I enjoyed seeing how the war emotionally affected Grace and the people around her, and how she relished the brief mental breaks she was awarded. It really showed how the war was taking its toll on her.
Overall, the trilogy was pretty good, and I'm glad I stuck around til the end!..🤗 But what does Cady Hammer have in store for us next? I can't wait to find out!

May 30, 2023Great ending!
For a war I am surprised by how many main characters are still alive afterwards. Only one of the war council members dies. One gets injured & that's it. I think that's highly unlikely for war. They also should have shown her saying goodbye to her little sister. I do love that in the end her step family and her leave on good terms. It seems like it takes forever for the final battle. There are several missions & a fight or four before then. I love that Luna & Grace are almost like sisters by the end. I honestly can't believe it takes Niel to convince Grace that she doesn't have to stay High Lady. It was like she kept putting duty over her happiness.

The full series.
I found the first book by accident and couldn't put it down. It took me into another world and I knew that I would need the next book and the next. All three books have given me so much pleasure in the reading of the stories. I would like to thank you so very much for giving me so much happiness and sorrow as I have finally finished the stories of The Fae. Nanny

I loved this entire series so much! It was great to start the year out with fantasy <3 I loved the characters in this book and absolutely found the ending to be everything I wanted! The only thing I would love more of is to know what happens to all the other characters... and frankly I would read more continuations in the life of Grace..... I just want more!!

Fantastic series
I read all three books of this series back to back. I had to know how it ended, and when it did, I sighed with satisfaction. If you love Cassandra Clare, you'll love Cady Hammer's Chasing Fae Trilogy.

Brilliant conclusion
The final book in the trilogy may have predictability but also a brilliant outcome. Growth in characters is essential and is finally to through some hard ones.
