USTICE, OR REVENGE? To gain her freedom, Karalee Summers had promised to help Marshal Janek capture the man who'd caused her brother's death and left her behind bars, but she had other plans. The man who had ruined her life was finally going to pay, and there was nothing that the taciturn lawman could do about it.
Hale Janek didn't like convicts. And -- except for tumbling with them between the sheets -- he wasn't crazy about women, either. He didn't trust Karalee Summers as far as he could throw her, and if she thought that she was going to get away with something while she was in his custody, she had better think again.
I thought the premise of the marshal and the convict was really interesting, and the writing was smooth throughout. While it isn’t something to write home about, all in all, it was a good experience. The secondary romance was a lovely bonus that added some extra heart to the plot.
