I know I know, it's a "Complete Idiot's Guide", but it really is informative. A good mix of physical, biological, astronomical and chemical sciences and how they work and relate with each other, I actually learned quite a bit from reading this book. A wonderful find at our local library, I'd recommend it to anyone who has a curiosity to how the world works.
