Caduceus: Pentacle

Rate this book
A SUPERNATURAL HORROR NOVEL. Since time began, mankind has sought to lift himself from mere existence into a realm of the mind that he only dimly perceives. In this most unusual novel, John Devine takes us away from a culture where only possessions matter and makes us confront what we ourselves could do if all our concentration were on the development of our minds and bodies. John Devine draws on the rites of the Great Goddess religion to demonstrate that the primary purpose of sex is not gratification, but a bonding strength through ritual, and that love itself is a discipline. CADUCEUS makes for a pretty extraordinary read. It doesn't fit into any category that I know of. Devine obviously knows his stuff when it comes to the Occult. Reading matter if this ilk would tend to make almost any other life pale in comparison. Sarah Miles Blood-freezing occult thriller which begins its white-knuckle ride with the post mortem on a Marilyn Monroe doppleganger. Evening Telegraph Peterborough
