A helpful read for those wishing to understand the nervous system and benefits of relaxation in pregnancy and beyond.

Whilst I found the tone a little patronising at times and felt there were parts which lacked nuance and more detailed explanation (such as why certain breathing techniques should not be done at certain gestations), it was a helpful read to remind myself in late pregnancy of the importance of taking time out to stretch and breath consciously.
