The Children's Character-Building Collection

Little Daisy and the Swearing Class

Rate this book
Triangle Press has undertaken the rewriting of classics into children's language and modern English. Each of these classics, which teach character, exalt Christ, and honor God's word in a refreshing manner not found in more modern books, will teach your child a distinct character building Godly principal.

This "Character Building Series" emphasizes strong Christian principals without denominational beliefs. Triangle Press strives to offer the general public material which only reflects the Word of God, and therefore can be read by every Christian regardless of denominational preference.

Gentle Daisy's parents were supposed dead from a disaster at sea while she was very young. Though she lived in an ungodly house, Daisy didn't forget her upbringing in the Lord's commands. While selling flowers on a street corner, her childlike rebuke brought General Forster to see the sin of taking God's name in vain, and he adopted the sweet child. Daisy goes on to teach young and old the downfalls of breaking the third commandment, while the Forsters search for the true parents of the apparent orphan.

*Little Daisy and the Swearing Class* is a meaningful and eye-opening story that teaches an important lesson about the power of words. Through Daisy’s experience, the book shows how easily bad habits can form and how they affect others.

I appreciated how the author clearly presents a strong message about speaking with kindness and self-control. The story is simple, but it really makes you think about everyday choices, especially the words we use. It’s written in a way that’s easy to understand, making it great for younger readers while still being a good reminder for older ones too.

(Spoiler) One part that really stood out to me was when Daisy found her real parents. It made me feel both sad and happy at the same time. Sad because of everything she went through, but happy that she was finally reunited with them. That moment made the story more emotional and meaningful to me.

Overall, this book is a great tool for teaching character and encouraging positive speech. I would recommend it for younger readers and families.
