Rate this book
In this classic book, Christopher Love (a 17th century London preacher) presents practical insights for the Christian who wants to be zealous about fighting against sin. Violence is needed in dealing with sin, and Love focuses on how fervent prayer and hearing the Word are the best weapons with which we can exercise this "holy violence." Lovers of the Puritans will welcome this addition to their libraries and these applications into their hearts and lives. This book will challenge you to read the Word with zeal and to nurture your communion with God in prayer.

Christopher Love wrote a very insightful book on tbd sanctification of the believer broken into 8 sermons.

Beheaded on Tower Hill, London (August 22, 1651) charged with treason.

The book is a bit difficult to read in the old English but full of prized jewels to mine in these 8 sermons.

A book worth spending much time reading and pondering.

I really enjoyed the second half of this book on prayer. His stuff on Zealous Christianity was helpful but not as enjoyable as the portion on prayer
