This book is an impressive work, both in content and presentation. The paintings are absolutely stunning—beautifully produced and a joy to admire. It’s a substantial book, and while the depth of detail is commendable, some parts of the text get bogged down in minutiae, which made it feel a bit tedious at times.

Excellent scholarship and fascinating stories about GdC.

It's too bad Baldacci disparages the later Chirico, because some of the later work is fascinating (I never liked the mannequin paintings).
