It was collected in The Adventures of Romney Pringle (1902). The main character, Romney Pringle, is intrigued by the claims of a patent medicine distribution company. In his guise as a London literary agent, he uncovers a swindle. Be sure to look for other short stories and novels by Clifford Ashdown.
