Ever watchful, Youngblood is a quiet killer whose game is jacking others for their treasures. Drugs aren’t his game, but he wants the spoils of the ghetto lifestyle by any means necessary. He is young, good looking and ruthless, willing to kill to obtain the lifestyle that he wants. He and his partners scope, wait then strike, leaving puddles of blood in their wake. Although he has acquired a lot, he still hasn’t reached the level he wants. If only that one lucky break would come.

His mind is on his money and his money is on his mind, women are just a means to a sexual end. While is slow to strike out with physical abuse at his girls, the disrespect and lack of esteem he holds for them are almost tangible. But it wasn’t always this way. His heart was broken by his first love when she hooked up with his partner and from that point he decided he would never trust a woman again. Yet, the females kept coming.

When a major player catches a bid, his woman approached Youngblood to hold her down. The two form an unusual connection. He lives with her, protects her so she is free to run her own street hustles, and sexes her, yet doesn’t claim her as his own, even as he has multiple partners elsewhere.

It’s only so long you can do people wrong before it comes back around, as he learned the hard way after his life was almost taken twice. But Youngblood was a solid guy who was determined he wasn’t ready to die. When his lucky break came, it seemed that the tides had turned on his behalf and finally his proverbial ship had sailed in....

Youngblood’s disrespect towards women had me shaking my head and wanting to throttle him, especially knowing there are many guys in the world just like him…and worse, many women who stand by and tolerate mistreatment. The love he had for his children, his sister and a few other individuals put us in touch with his human side. He was a character that was easy to dislike until his human moments would come to the light. It is a very talented author who pulls on the emotions of his readers so much so that after the story ends, it remains on the mind of its reader. Such was the case with TNM. There were so many layers and lessons to process. Cash isn’t just a person who puts words on paper, he masterfully infuses the real deal of urban street life with life lessons. It was a great book.

This is a classic! You can't be a Street-Lit fan without " Trust No Man" in oyur collection. Cash gave us exactly what the game needed; A good old fashioned street-tale. No cut, no chaser, raw like street-lit was intended to be. I was pleased to see that hthe publisher allowed Cash to do his thing without watering it down. Game recognize game; Cash spit real street 'ish in a way only someone who's been in the streets could spit it. Trust No Man is the first installment of the best trilogy since "Dutch". I'm certifyin this 'ish as Gangsta!

I wanted give give 3 stars because of the way it ended. but I had to give 4 stars because the part I did read was not only gangster and grimy it was real. I was straight educated ( I been in the hood all my life, thought I seen it all) learned how the criminal minds really think. I can feel the author is real with it by the he is giving it to us raw (100 OR Nothing). Man it's straight crazy how the book was on point. Negros and Females played the part in the title.

Can't rate it.

Cared about the voice. Couldn't skip a line of narration because he had sincere gravity that I couldn't disrespect.

Story line made me sad and dizzy. The gangster life is crowded with interruption. I just wanted him to be free, and to stop it with his killing spree. Made me feel empty.

Also made me feel void, and flinchy, because people who did nothing more than inconvenience the character were glocked and sent to the grave.

This book just winded me into a sleepy apathy about life. Nothing to say, but I'm glad that I read it.
