High Desert

In "High Desert," Maria Mulrooney is held a virtual prisoner in a convent while her uncle controls the vast holdings that belonged to her father. Maria sees an offer of marriage from rancher Dan Halliday as an opportunity. Under her father's will, if she marries she has the right to assume ownership of her inheritance. Halliday sees an opportunity to get ahead. Maria and Dan are both tough and determined, but is it enough?

TB. has penned two western adventures titled, 1. Drifter's Choice and 2.High Desert. The first is about a man looking for a place to settle down. A woman is met and she hires him to help her Dad because he had become involved in a range war. The second is about a rancher who gets permission to drive his cattle into the high desert for grazing and water from a Rancho's owner who dies and the brother takes over the ranch sending the daughter to a convent. The rancher driving his cattle and the oung girl in the convent get together. These are two excellent reads for the genre.....DEHS
