Cloud Hands Press’ news release, Desert Flow, is an elegant combination of poetry by Charlotte Hart and digital illustrations by Adrián Caldera which, in turn, is published in the native languages of both the poet and English and Spanish. The two artists have never met in person, and for most of the period of creating the book knew almost nothing about each other’s lives. The poetry and illustrations originate from email correspondence that documents the artists’ almost anonymous online relationship, which blossomed into a unique opportunity for collaboration without distraction or judgment.
