The Mominatrix's Guide to Sex: A No-Surrender Advice Book for Naughty Moms

Rate this book
From the

For a mother regaining her sexual self, it’s less about learning the latest and greatest blow job technique and more about figuring out how to make a sexual relationship work when the batteries from your vibrator are now powering your baby monitor and the last orgasm you had was when your baby slept four hours in a row.

Motherhood undoubtedly affects our sex lives, but with little opportunity to explore the new changes in our bodies and sexual beings, like many mothers we focus on making sure our kids have perfectly mashed organic bananas and fair-trade hemp organic diapers. And while their tummies and asses are pesticide-free, we’re wishing someone cared about ours (or at least our asses) just as much.

This guide gives moms everywhere permission to exchange their mommy jeans for something just a bit more, um . . . flattering. Self-proclaimed Mominatrix and author of the popular sex column of the same name, Kristen Chase proves that there is more to motherhood than diapers and timeouts. Good moms can be sexy mamas with just a little mominatrix training!

"If you're in the market for lady-friendly porn, take a look at the work of Candida Royalle. Her DVDs are classic favorites that emphasize female pleasure...

"It makes sense in a way that if you're going to watch someone having sex as a means to jumpstart your own engine, it might as well be you and your partner. Better to have your partner lusting after your own postpartum ass than some twenty year old porn star who's already pumped full of Botox...

"If you're serious about videotaping, invest in a tripod...

"If you want someone to play with your backside, or you're offering it up as a new tunnel of love, you should consider cleaning it. .. Make sure you could eat off of it. In fact, if you do your job well, you might just get that too...

"Butt plugs can provide you with heightened sensation, and they can be a good way to orient your ass to having something inside it. ...Anal beads are pulled out one by one to provide extra stimulation during sex. ..

"Most women will admit to having some interest in another woman, even if it's just being turned on by a naked woman's body or two other women doing it... That doesn't mean you're gay or bisexual... Pick up some girl-on-girl porn and watch it with your partner...It might just be enough to satisfy your inner lesbian. If you're still unsure about making your wishes known, then keep your fantasies personal. Create your own encounters of the female kind when you masturbate. ...If all else fails, you can ask your husband to dress up like a woman. Just be prepared for the ramifications. He might actually really like it. ..While you might think you're desiring a woman's body, it could be that you're dying for more oral sex, which surprisingly enough, many men are too squeamish to offer their partners. But if that's the case, then you should cease and desist any mouth play with his mangy penis and call it even... There's just something about a woman shoving her pussy in a guy's face or telling him 'get down there now' that can really turn a guy on. If he was reluctant to head South before, make sure he knows who's boss..."

This book might have been more relevant after I had my first child. After three kids, my youngest being over 2 now, I am way past the stages in this book. I thought this book was something completely different by it's title alone. I kept hoping there would be more to it than there was - for experienced mothers. I would recommend this to first time moms, but not really to seasoned mothers, they obviously were able to spice things up enough to have more kids.

Especially great for new moms fresh from child birth, there are some great nuggets for those further down the road. Kristen writes irreverently in an easy and friendly manner that will get even the prude in you thinking about revving things up.
