The book turns the 'democratic peace' theme on its rather than investigating the reasons for the supposed pacifism of democracies, it looks for the causes of their militancy. The books was for uni but it was a very interesting take on the democratic peace thesis and hearing how having democratic peace thesis in the future won’t prevent war. It was interesting to see the different tales and trying to improve a democratic state. Looking over Brock and Geis overview and there argument on Kant’s argument was really interesting. It is great read for those into the Cold War and democratic issues and liberal issues.
