Mythology/legend isn't exactly the right fit for this. While Bloch presents this collection as traditional tales from Prague, the legend of Judah ben Loew creating the Golem of Prague is a 19th century concoction. That said, the stories do have a folk-tale feel, from the golem ineptly bungling simple household tasks to using its magical powers to thwart the city's anti-semites.

Read this as it was given as a gift. If I knew the person who had gifted it had not read it themselves I would’ve put it down after the first chapter.
