This is a great guidebook for the White Mountains. A chart at the front of the book helps you narrow your list based on length, difficulty, and a brief description. Hikes are also grouped by location in case you want to do multiple hikes.
The descriptions are great, and include helpful information to help navigate the trails as well as natural features and wildlife to look for on each trail. There are even suggestions for adjusting some of the hikes if you want to extend or shorten your time on the trail.
Great book for family hikes in The White mountains. We've done about 20 of these hikes, some more than once & never been disappointed. Gives very realistic expectations about the level of the hike - very useful when our kids were younger. I highly recommend this book.
