One of my review books for my job in a junior high library.

This book is one of an excellent series called Global Connections. This particular title examines the experience of teens in Turkey, looking at a typical day, what happens in school, family life, holidays, work, and entertainment. Includes photographs, charts, Turkish definitions, interesting and relevant facts, a glossary, and a historical time line.

This new series is a useful research tool for country or cultures research. These books give students an insight into the everyday life of others their own age without neglecting the broader facts. Each volume contains information on education, jobs, socializing, families, holidays, religion, and emerging trends. The books are attractive, even for browsers, and a welcome addition to any library.
